Our rescheduled yia! Finalists’ Workshop and Awards Night are now just around the corner!

The Covid-19 situation has made the organisation of both events challenging, but we are so, so stoked that things are looking good for us being able to go ahead in person. Our creative and committed Young Innovator Finalists deserve nothing less for their efforts this year.

The Workshops are designed to inspire the Finalists to take their ideas to the next level and keep the innovation fire burning within them. We look forward to hosting them at the University of Waikato on Tuesday 26th October.

Then, on Thursday 28th October, we gather our awesome guest judges together to make the tough calls on which of our awesome Finalists become yia! 2021 Winners. Those decisions will be revealed that very evening at Awards Night, where Finalists (and 1 family member each) will be joined by a selection of Teachers, Partners and Sponsors to find out who will walk the yellow carpet.

For those missing out on the Awards Night action in person, remember we will be live-streaming from 6-8pm, so keep an eye on the yia! website for details on where to access that. This is the last chance to vote in the yia! People’s Choice – voting closes on Tuesday!
