Workshop: Team Diversity in Action

Are you already convinced of the benefits of having a diverse team, but not quite sure what it might look like day to day at a team level?

Come to this 2-hour practical workshop where you will experience being facilitated and coached to gain insights yourself and create a strategy for implementing diversity-promoting practices within your own teams.

This is a workshop that

• is hands-on and experiential so you will experience the practices yourself

• has a focus on teams and real-life application

• is based on practical activities you can try right away with your teams

You are a perfect fit for the workshop if you are a team manager or people leader who have a desire for team diversity in action.

About the facilitators and coaches

Nami Ishihara is an IAF Certified™ Professional Facilitator passionate about helping teams find their “spark”, that quality that enables teams to achieve much more than the sum of its parts. She does this by providing a space and necessary structure for conversations to develop. She acts as a guide and provide support for teams to find their own way.

Coming from a multicultural (Japan and U.S.) background and having over ten years’ experience with various international organisations, she can connect easily with people of different backgrounds and nationalities and help groups to find common ground to achieve their goals.

Suki Xiao is is an ICF credentialed coach (Associate Certified Coach) with 5+ years of coaching experience and the founder of As you. She is passionate about empowering women of colour rise in the workplace. She regularly delivers talks on ethnically diverse staff and women of colour challenges and how to make diversity&inclusion a reality in the workplace.

Prior to starting As You, Suki was an Agile Coach at Xero, Meridian Energy and Datacom (via Nomad8), where Suki had direct experience coaching, enabling and supporting teams and leaders to perform better and in new ways of working. Suki also served on the leadership team of Xero Partner Products and has worked with a range of people, from senior leadership teams to early career professionals.
