Indonesia Culture and Culinary Festival

Join the Bay of Plenty Indonesian Community as we celebrate and promote the rich and vibrant culture of Indonesia at the first Indonesian Festival in the Bay of Plenty.

This event is proudly sponsored by the Tauranga Western Bay Community Event Fund, the Ethnic Community Development Fund, Multicultural Tauranga, the Indonesian Embassy, Tautoko Mai, and the Indonesian Community from different regions.

Save the date: February 18th, from 11 am to 5 pm, at the Waikato University, Tauranga CBD (101 Durham Street), to experience Indonesia like never before. This event is open to the public and free of charge.

Be amazed by the authentic Indonesian dance performances and musical instruments, including the Angklung, made from bamboo. You’ll also have the opportunity to participate in the Angklung Interactive. Get a glimpse of Indonesia’s picturesque tourism, witness Batik making demonstrations, and admire the painting display from Indonesian Artist “Dali Susanto.”

Treat your taste buds to the delicious food offerings from Indonesian food vendors and shop for unique merchandise such as Indonesian clothing, crafts, and arts.

So bring your family and friends and come together as a community to celebrate everything that Indonesia and Indonesians are about. This festival is a great opportunity to improve diversity and create a stronger sense of community. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience!
