As part of Priority One’s Environmental Sustainability strategy, a key theme and focus area is energy. Our energy system is a critical part of our region’s infrastructure with energy demands across our region expected to increase, it is critical that we understand our future needs well.
Over the past year, Priority One has engaged in various energy discussions, revealing the need for a coordinated picture of the region’s energy future. To address this, we are hosting a series of Energy Forums:
- Forum One – Manufacturers, Employers and Processors
- Forum Two – Transport and Logistics
- Forum Three – Growth, Planning and Infrastructure
We are seeking broad input on energy production, management, and usage to develop a Regional Energy Strategy that will guide policy, infrastructure, and business awareness.
