Ara Rau - Employment Mentor
Michelle, our Employment Mentor for the Ara Rau Skills and Employment Hub, focuses on engaging rangatahi who are not in education, employment, or training. She helps to map the navigation routes of employment, retraining and upskilling, to create pipelines into sustainable employment for our youth.
Michelle works closely with our community partners to identify and support our rangatahi who are at various stages of their journey and concentrates on developing the relationships and networks which will help progress them into local jobs.
Having grown up in in Tauranga, Michelle’s hobbies include relaxing and spending time with her whanau. As a busy mum of three, she’s always on the lookout for new hot spots to take her kids and exploring the many beautiful parks and playgrounds here in Tauranga Moana.
When she’s got a bit of time to herself, Michelle enjoys going on short solo hikes and exploring the ngahere (bush) in peace.
